The Cleveland Cavaliers were without center Andrew Bynum on Wednesday and will be without him Friday night as he deals with a family medical issue.  Bynum is expected to rejoin the team Saturday as they take on the Washington Wizards.  Before the game on Friday night as the Cavs prepared to take on the Charlotte Bobcatshead coach Mike Brown said that if Bynum is available on Saturday, he will start.

Bynum, who did not play a minute for the Philadelphia 76ers last season has been able to contribute for the Cavs and given them a legitimate center presence in the game.  The Cavs as a team have gotten off to a clunky start, but Bynum has been a nice addition.  In spite of complaints over pain, Bynum has actually played more and more minutes as the season has progressed.  The hope is the time off to deal with his medical issues have worked to his benefit healthwise, but if the Cavs are going to make the playoffs this year, Bynum will be an important part.
