Cavs C.J. Miles to start at shooting guard against Bobcats

The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced that C.J. Miles will start at shooting guard as they take on the Charlotte Bobcats.  Dion Waiters is reportedly ill and questionable to play tonight, but the indication is that Miles would start whether Waiters is available or not.  Miles has come out in the early part of this season with the best basketball of his entire career and been a pleasant surprise.

It is unclear how much their belief in Miles had on the decision to draft Anthony Bennett #1 overall in this year’s NBA Draft, but that part of the decision looks like a good one.  The early returns on Bennett have been bad, but it has been a small sample size and he is not in great shape yet.  Miles, on the other hand, has been one of the Cavs most consistent players this year and is currently leading the team with a personal efficiency rating of 21.9.  It is unclear if this move is to send a message to Waiters or rather to reward Miles for what he has been able to do this season.
