As we enter Week 12 of the 2013 college football season, the race for the Heisman Memorial Trophy is a close race that appears as if it’ll come right down to the wire.
After the events of last week, though, the person that has been maybe the frontrunner for the award the entire season, Oregon Ducks QB Marcus Mariota, took a huge hit to his stock when he and his team were beaten on the road by the Stanford Cardinal. In that loss, Mariota didn’t exactly play his best in defeat in front of the entire nation.
So, with that, many believe that it’s now a two-man race between last year’s winner and the redshirt freshman that has taken the college football world by storm this year trying to follow in his footsteps.
Yes, the race for that bronze trophy is about as tight as you can get at this point.
