Jamie Benn played a spectacular game against the Calgary Flames last night, pulling down six points en route to the Dallas Stars winning 7-3. There was a juncture when the game wasn’t out of hand, however. At that point, Benn drove to the net to receive a pass from Tyler Seguin.
The result was staggering as the Stars took a 3-0 lead.
The play was outstanding for the Stars from start to finish. Their gap control in the neutral zone forced the Flames to turn the puck over. Seguin made no mistake with the saucer pass as Benn drove to the net, and the Olympic hopeful buried the chance in a Bobby-Orr like fashion.
Of course, the goal didn’t win the Stanley Cup like Orr’s original, but Benn’s tally was still a special play on a special night for the Captain of the Dallas Stars.

Mike Modano is some pretty good company, especially in Dallas. Tyler Seguin had a spectacular evening as well and potted four goals for the Stars.
Dallas will try to keep the offense rolling tonight in their second game in as many nights. They’ll take on the streaking New Jersey Devils.
