UCLA Bruins Linebacker was listed tonight as the impact player on both the offense and defensive side of the ball. On the offensive side of the screen he was listed as a running back. At first glance, or to the casual sports fan this might seem like a blunder but rest assured that this is completely intentional.

Last week, Jack won the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week Award. That is right, a linebacker won offensive player of the week. The Bruins were struggling with depth at running back and put Jack in the back field and he got a few carries. Jack obviously did well to get the award.

Jack carried the ball six times for 120 yards and a touchdown on a 66-yard run. That is an average of 20 yards a carry. Don’t forget he played defense for the whole game too. On defense, Jack had eight tackles and recovered Ka’Deem Carey’s fumble in the UCLA end zone.

After that game in Arizona, you can see why Myles Jack is getting the impact player honors for both sides of the ball. He is an old school style football player and he is just a freshman.
