This year the Baltimore Orioles had a handful of players who have proved to be talented and done enough to make sure they were finalists for several awards in the American League.
It shows you that this team isn’t far from actually competing in the post-season, but they still need some pieces to that puzzle before they reach that level. Now I know Nate McLouth may not be considered a piece that could help this team reach the post-season, but he’s one heck of a ball player.
I’ve always been a fan of Nate’s, basically because of his follow through. I don’t know what it is, but if I see a player who has a neat follow through, good chance I’ll become a fan of yours. Crazy right?
Anyways, according to the Baltimore Sun, the Baltimore Orioles remain interested in bringing back the 32 year old outfielder.
McLouth is coming off a rebounding season after he just hit seven home runs, 20 RBI’s and a batting line of .241/.314/.380 between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles.
He hit 12 home runs with 36 RBI’s on a batting line of .258/.329/.399 this season, which will possibly earn him a multi-year deal.
We’ll just have to see if the Orioles have the same thing in mind.
