Currently sitting at 3-7, things are not going well for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Their offseason acquisition of Andrew Bynum isn’t looking overly hot. Their shocking selection of Anthony Bennett first overall in the 2013 NBA Draft is looking even worse and after a 29-point blowout to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this week, players allegedly ‘confronted each other’ in a player only meeting.
The Cavaliers held a players-only meeting following Wednesday’s 29-point loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, multiple sources told ESPN.com. But the meeting got contentious, and players confronted each other, according to sources.
It doesn’t sound as if anything got physical, rather, just some loud voices but the frustrations were made apparent.
Star guard Kyrie Irving tweeted out the following on Friday night:
“Tough times don’t last, but tough people do” #keepmovingforward
That comes after Irving and head coach Mike Brown got into a heated confrontation on the bench Monday evening in a loss to the Chicago Bulls.
Needless to say, things aren’t overly peachy in the Cavs locker room right now.
