Dolphins' Mike Wallace expected to play against San Diego Chargers

There was some mild concern coming into Week 11 that the Miami Dolphins would be without ‘top’ wide receiver Mike Wallace, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, for Week 11.

Wallace practiced on an extremely limited basis towards the end of the week and was looking highly questionable for the Dolphins’ home game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, but it appears the wide out will take the field barring a last minute problem:

Mike Wallace, he’s listed as questionable with a hamstring but expects to play Sunday barring an unexpected setback.

Of course, given Wallace’s struggles, injury problem and Ryan Tannehill‘s issues throwing down field, it may be like Wallace doesn’t play anyway even if he’s on the field.

The high priced offseason acquisition is averaging just 12.4 yards per catch, only catching 50% of his targets and has one touchdown through the Dolphins first nine games.

If there ever is a game for Wallace to have a big day, it’s against the soft San Diego Chargers secondary so it’s seemingly now or never.
