After a bit of a scare to begin with, the Baylor Bears have certainly woken up against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Arlington. Down 20-7 early, the Bears quickly surged their way back to take a 21-20 lead.

One part of this team that is often criticized is the defense. While they can certainly wow you when they have possession of the ball, defense was never really the strong suit of an Art Briles coached team.

In the huge win last week over the Oklahoma Sooners, we got to see glimpses of a much improved defensive unit as they held the Sooners to just 12 points.

Tonight against the Red Raiders, we’re seeing a little more of that impressive defensive play.

Watch this incredible, athletic INT back in the first quarter from the Bears:

There is no doubt that this unit is vastly improved from years prior. If they can keep up plays like this, then they might have the opportunity to get to the BCS title game, should those things in from of them go their way.
