On Friday afternoon, it was reported that Kobe Bryant had slowly graduated to taking more of a set shot during a shooting drill with the Lakers, this after spending the past few weeks shooting off his ‘tippie toes’.
On Friday evening, Bryant himself said that if the Lakers were playing in the postseason right now, he’d take the court.
Combine the two situations and it sounded like Bryant was nearing a return.
Enter Saturday afternoon, where Bryant has reportedly returned to Los Angeles Lakers practice, this according to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski:
After seven months rehabbing a torn Achilles, Kobe Bryant has returned to Lakers practice, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
There’s currently no word on how active Bryant’s participation in practice is, though one would assume he will slowly be worked in considering the length of time off.
Currently, there is no official date of return set for Bryant but assuming there are no setbacks, it shouldn’t be that long until we see Bryant back on the court in game action.
