There are some weird things going on today in Evanston, IL in the Big Ten match up between the Northwestern Wildcats and the Michigan Wolverines.
This game is between two teams that each got off to some hot starts to begin the year, but then the wheels began to fall off. After Northwestern lost to Ohio State, everything just fell apart. After Michigan lost to Penn State in 4OTs, their offense disappeared.
So, needless to say, something has to give for one of these squads in this battle today, although it hasn’t exactly been the most exciting of games, to say the least.
At this time, the Wildcats are holding a very narrow 9-6 in the fourth quarter over Brady Hoke and his struggling Wolverines team.
It’s amazing that Northwestern is even in the lead after what happened when they were punting out of their own end zone at one point:

Yes, that was a seven-yard punt put of their own end zone. Not good when you’re trying to make something positive happen, but they’re still in the lead.
