The UCLA Bruins were in the winning mood after beating the Washington Huskies by a score of 41-31 Friday night.
After the game, the Bruins weren’t done winning… at least one of them wasn’t. Inside linebacker Stan McKay was feeling so good, he gathered his teammates, family, friends and coaches around in a circle to witness a momentous life occasion. In full pads and football attire (minus the helmet of course), McKay fell to a knee and busted out the ring… what happened next was pure pandemonium!
I bet that was the best touchdown McKay will ever score. The entire UCLA team just mauls them both in a mosh-pit of love, towels waving, dancing it’s all good! You couldn’t see it here but just before this shot head coach Jim Mora could be seen behind the crowd, leaning around his players, trying to get a glimpse of the occasion. Mora has been very vocal about how proud he is of his players and how he enjoys the process of bringing his young athletes in and helping them become men. This must have been one of those very proud moments for him!
Congrats to Mr. McKay and the Bruins.
