Carmelo Anthony calls out the Knicks

The Knicks aren’t good right now. They are just 3-6 on the season, and they have problems on both ends of the floor. They got blown out by the Hawks on Saturday night, and it was not pretty. After the loss, per the New York Post, ‘Melo had some not-so-nice things to say about the way they’re playing:

“I’m disappointed in all our effort,” Anthony said. “We’re not getting it done from an effort standpoint. It’s like we’re not even trying right now.

“We can’t worry about the boos. We got to play harder. We’re not playing worth a [expletive] right now….

“It’s surprising. To come into the season with a mindset of being better than we were last year and to be where we’re at right now. I know it’s 3-6, but we got to turn this around quickly. It’s a nasty feeling within the team.”

They are without Tyson Chandler, and things are not looking good for them defensively. They will probably trade Iman Shumpert to help bolster their inside presence, and you can expect J.R. Smith to go back to the bench. As for Shumpert, he’s not too happy about the trade rumors.
