College basketball Monday TV schedule

The college basketball season is underway, and after a weekend full of upsets, including the mighty North Carolina Tar Heels losing at home to Belmont, there will be several ranked teams in action tonight, and they hope to avoid the same fate other top-25 teams suffered this weekend.

Not only did the No. 12 Tar Heels lose, but so too did the No. 7 Michigan Wolverines and No. 13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The headliner of tonight will be the No. 1 Michigan State Spartans at home on the Big 10 Network hosting Portland. The Spartans claimed the top spot in every major college poll after last week’s win over the Kentucky Wildcats.

Here’s tonight’s schedule:

7:00 – Vermont at Providence (Fox Sports 1)
7:00 – Portland at Michigan State (Big 10)
7:00 – UNC-Asheville at Duke (ESPNU)
7:00 – The Citadel at Tennessee (Fox Sports South)
7:30 – Miami at Charleston (Comcast Sports South)
8:00 – Monmouth at Seton Hall (Fox Sports 1)
9:00 – Texas Southern at Texas Tech (ESPNU)
11:00 – Fairleigh-Dickinson at Arizona (ESPNU)
