On Thursday night we witnessed a fairly cowardly act in the game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans. Colts linebacker Erik Walden ripped off Titans tight end Delanie Walker’s helmet. Walden then head butted Walker, while wearing a helmet and Walker was not.

That has led the NFL to suspend Walden for one game, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports. Walker suggested that Walden was frustrated with getting his butt whupped, and that he should have been ejected.

“What got him riled up? I was whupping his butt, that’s what happened, and the cat couldn’t take it when he was getting whupped,’’ Walker told Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean after the game. “He got frustrated, and he should have been ejected for what he did. That’s bush league and that’s the type of stuff we don’t need in this league.”

“I whupped on him the whole game, and I’m going to whup on him again in two weeks,’’ Walker said. “We are not cool. That type of stuff doesn’t belong in the NFL.”

The Colts play the Arizona Cardinals game on Sunday.
