The Rangers are considering a run at top-tier free-agent outfielder Shin-Soo Choo. The Yankees, Mets and incumbent Reds are among several teams to have shown interest in Choo.
Choo is considered to be one of the top free agent outfielders on the market, if not the top, and is said to be commanding a contract over $100 million dollars (recent reports suggest he wants at least $126 million). It’s a hefty price for any team to pay, especially if teams get into a bidding war for Choo’s services as is expected.
Heyman does report that the Rangers are likely to bow out of such a race if Choo’s price tag gets much more elevated than it already is.
