UFC veteran Terry Etim will be looking to turn his fighting career around as he makes he steps into the Bellator cage for the first time.
Etim will make his Bellator debut against Patrik “Lights Out” Cenoble at Bellator 109, Nov. 22.
Prior to signing with Bellator, Etim was had been a mainstay in the UFC’s Lightweight division, going 6-5 in the promotion. He had been released from the UFC roster after back-to-back losses to Edson Barboza and Renee Forte. During his UFC tenure Etim earned four “Submission of the Night” bonuses and one “Fight of the Night” bonus.
While Etim comes into the Bellator cage with a good fight resume, his fight against Cenoble will be no easy task. Lights Out comes in with a record of 9-2-1 with eight knockouts to his credit. If Etim wants to get the quick finish, he may want to take the fight to the ground and catch Cenoble in a choke.
If Etim makes a good first impression, he may get a spot in the next Bellator Lightweight Tournament.
