The world is full of internet gangsters, something Houston Texans running back Ben Tate is apparently tired of.

Tate, who has taken over lead back duties for the Texans who are without Arian Foster for the remainder of the season engaged in a quick, though, apparently semi-effective Twitter war with an unhappy fan after the Texans Week 11 loss to the Oakland Raiders.

Houston, who dropped to a woeful 2-8 were booed loudly by the home fans though Tate commented it was ‘hard to hear’ them since he was putting in work.

"Never mad at the fans its hard to hear boo’s when u out there give it all u got"

A fan decided to question Tate’s comments with a profanity laced tirade, where Tate told the Twitter thug to ‘say it to his face’. I won’t mention the NSFW language, but you can read it by clicking here.

That exchange didn’t lats long as the user was quickly suspended, ’cause Tate don’t play that.

In all seriousness though, if you’re going to be an athlete and mess around on social media, you need to have leather thick skin.
