The Washington Huskies could be without quarterback Keith Price when they hit the road to take on the Oregon State Beavers Saturday night. Price injured his right throwing shoulder during the second quarter of the Huskies’ 41-31 loss to the UCLA Bruins Friday night.
He never returned to the game. Price was 10-of-18 for 181 yards with a touchdown before leaving the game. According to the Associated Press, Huskies’ head coach Steve Sarkisian said Price will not try and practice until Thursday.
Price was replaced by freshman Cyler Miles. Miles went 15-of-22 for 149 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Miles is now 21-of-32 for 250 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in his short career.
Price, a three-year starter, is 201-of-310 for 2,662 yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions in his career. He’s also rushed for four touchdowns.
Over his four-year career, the 6’1, 202 lb. signal-caller from Compton, California, has completed 725-of-1,141 for 8,617 yards with 73 passing touchdowns, nine rushing touchdowns and 28 interceptions.
The Huskies and Beavers will kickoff at 10:30 pm EST Saturday and the game is on ESPN2.
