Trey Burke near NBA debut for Utah Jazz

Despite being drafted 9th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft, Trey Burke has yet to play a game in the NBA.

That’s soon to change as it’s being reported that the Utah Jazz point guard is nearing a return after having finger surgery in mid-October.

Burke will not be in uniform for the Jazz’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night (some speculation suggested he would) but he could return in a matter of days:

Both Trey Burke and Jeremy Evans participated full speed in practice today. Both remain out tomorrow for the game at New Orleans.

As mentioned, it was a full speed, full squad practice and Burke reportedly had no issues with the finger.

Utah will certainly welcome their rookie to the court as they currently sport the worst record in the league and have struggled offensively using sub-par, interchangeable point guards.

The former Michigan Wolverine was named as the 2013 Big Ten Player of the Year in addition to being named the National Player of the Year in 2013.
