On Monday, we brought a GIF of Stephen Curry suffering a head injury that caused him to leave the team’s win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night, and now, there is an update on Curry’s condition.

News that Curry suffered a concussion isn’t surprising if you’ve seen the video, but with the movement in the medical community against the term “mild concussion”, the choice of words from the official Twitter account of the Warriors is a bit interesting. Even so, Curry will apparently be sidelined for at least one game (Golden State takes on Memphis on Wednesday), and this is a big loss for the Dubs.

Golden State is currently 8-3 and the Warriors hold a 4-game winning streak after the aforementioned win over Utah on Monday. Curry is at the center of their uber-hot start, and many believe that the Warriors are a legitimate contender for this year’s NBA title. The 25-year-old guard is averaging 19.9 points and 8.7 assists per game this season, and his status as the “best shooter on Earth” remains in tact, leaving a gaping hole for the team’s offense.

Let’s all agree to hope and pray for a speedy recovery for Curry, as the league is undeniably more entertaining with him at full-strength. As for Wednesday night, Mark Jackson and company must approach this game without Curry and his backup, Toney Douglas, so look for a large helping of Andre Iguodala as the primary ball-handler for the Warriors.
