American Horror Story is just over halfway through the boldest and most gripping season yet. As the end draws near for the women of Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, people are starting to wonder when and where next season will be taking place.
Thankfully, the people at Entertainment Weekly are able to provide us with the answers we seek.
Co-Creator Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly that he would begin to drop hints about that who, what, when, where, and whys of next season around Episode 11. However, he did state did spill one little tidbit.
“It’s not contemporary.” He tells EW. “It’s either going to shoot in New Orleans or it’s going to shoot in Santa Fe.”
It will be interesting to see if they sort of “continue” the story from Coven from a different point of view, or if they move on to something completely different; which has been the formula for the American Horror Story franchise thus far.
Things are definitely starting to heat up this season. In tonight’s episode we will see the fallout from last week’s events. The Axeman is now loose on the world thanks to Zoe. He is even free to pursue some sort of a “relationship” with Fiona.
Also, with Cordelia’s new found second-sight, she is starting to unravel the pieces of a well-constructed deception. Not just the one involving her husband Hank and the Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau, but the one involving her mother Fiona’s role in the “death” of Madison Montgomery. I use the term death lightly, as Misty Day was able to bring Madison back to life in the previous episode thus thwarting Fiona’s original idea.
If nothing else, it can be said that American Horror Story is one of the most original, thought provoking, and must-watch shows on television today. It’s no wonder that the show has already been renewed for its next season.
American Horror Story: Coven airs on Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. on FX.
