Jeremy Stephens has looked great since dropping down to Featherweight earlier this year. In his last fight, Stephens knocked out Rony Jason with a beautiful head kick to extend his winning streak to two in a row. Stephens has bounced back from a 3 fight losing streak at Lightweight, and is looking to make it 3 wins in a row against Elkins come January 25th.
Elkins most recently bounced back from a loss to defeat Hatsu Hioki at UFC Fight Night 27. Before losing to Chad Mendes back at UFC on FOX 7, Elkins was on a 5 fight winning streak at Featherweight and looked to be on the verge of a possible title shot.
This is an intriguing clash of styles with the heavy handed Stephens taking on the gritty wrestler Elkins. Will Elkins be able to neutralize Stephens’ offense, or will Stephens be able to land one of his bombs?
UFC on FOX 10 will be headlined by former UFC Lightweight champion, Benson Henderson, taking on former Strikeforce Lightweight champion, Josh Thomson.
