Lindsey Vonn injured in training

United States skier Lindsey Vonn recovered from a torn MCL and ACL in time to train and get in shape for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, but now her status for the Olympics could be in doubt after another training injury.

Vonn was training at  at Copper Mountain, Colorado just one week before her first competition in her return, when she crashed and suffered another injury.

According to USA Today, Vonn was not admitted to the hospital, but she was evaluated by her doctor, Bill Sterett. There is no information on whether or not Vonn re-injured her right knee and how it could affect her status moving forward, but everyone will be holding their breath.

Vonn is one of the biggest stars on the slopes for the United States, so having her healthy enough to compete boosts their chances of winning a medal in Sochi.

There are still  78 days until the 2014 Winter Olympics, so we will need to see how severe the latest injury is and if it will impact her future for the games. Even if it doesn’t, it appears that her knee could be far from 100 percent and the risk of injury before the Olympics is much greater than anyone would like to see.
