About halfway through the third quarter, the New York Knicks are fighting about as hard as they can to hang with the Indiana Pacers. They’ve been in the one throughout the entire way, and have gotten some good performances along the way.

Tonight, from their star, Carmelo Anthony, they’ve gotten a 17-point effort as he once again leads everyone in an orange and white uniform and scoring.

He’s also taken some hits for the team as well.

After the third quarter got underway, Anthony found himself with the ball relatively close to the hoop on the left side. So, he decided to back down and see if he can get it in. Unfortunately, he found himself within the reach of Roy Hibbert and Lance Stephenson.

Also unfortunately, ‘Melo took a vicious palm to the face for his efforts:

In an era where we’re genuinely concerned about players flopping, this was not one of those cases. Melo took a pretty good shot there.
