Paul George has been a force for the Indiana Pacers as they are going to try to make a serious run at the NBA Championship in 2013-2014. Tonight, he and his teammates are continuing that journey inside Madison Square Garden against the struggling New York Knicks.
Part of the Knicks’ struggles this season has been a complete lack of defense, especially without Tyson Chandler on the floor. Those struggles continued tonight as George got off to an early start in making them look just flat out silly.
Early on in the first quarter, George took the ball with a Pablo Prignioni directly in front of him defending. George promptly took a shot fake that had Prignioni befuddled for a second, and then he hit the beautiful jump shot from a little closer range, and drew the foul:
George would go on to hit the free throw to complete the and-1 play, however the Pacers are currently down in the second quarter to the 3-7 Knicks, so they’ll need some more of these the rest of the way in the second half.
