Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is having a rough week, though he was cheered when he attended the Toronto Argonauts game. He has found himself routinely in the news with things getting worse and worse. He was seen mocking a council member by silently acting out drunk driving, he ran into an elderly woman.

He has become the subject of mocking on Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and the Colbert Report. One person in Hollywood is standing up for him.

That man…… is Ron Burgundy.

Yes, Ron Burgundy was on the Conan O’Brien show and he praised Mayor Ford, who he called his friend. Burgundy starts by calling his “dear, dear, dear” friend Rob Ford the “best.” Burgundy goes on to explain he has been asked to perform Mayor Ford’s campaign theme song on the show.

O’Brien is “shocked” because he is controversial, to which Burgundy replies “controversial because he is so damn honest.” That is when Burgundy gets up to sing the song and it is hilarious. That is when Burgundy joins the band to preform the song, and it is a famous song you’ve probably heard of by a Canadian band. I’ll give you a hint, they’re from Calgary.

Yes, the Jazz Flute makes an appearance.
