Ok State's Marcus Smart blocks shot while hurdling defender (Video)

Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart can play ball. Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant, who also played college hoops in the Big 12, attended a Cowboys game and had nothing but praise for the young player.

From ESPN:

“Marcus can play in the league right now. Definitely,” Durant, who attended the game at Gallagher-Iba Arena, told USA Today Sports.

“He was just unbelievable for them tonight,” Durant told USA Today Sports. “He was doing it all for them, rebounding, blocking shots, passing, scoring. He led them.

“I knew he could do everything pretty well. But I like his demeanor. I like how he handles his teammates. A player like him, he always can burst out and get 30 or 40 points.”

He can definitely block shots take this video below. It might be the best block you’ll ever see. Not only does he swat the ball away into what we can only assume is several rows back in the crowd. He also pulls off a Vince Carter like move by leaping over and hurdling his opponent.

Now he wasn’t tall like the 7’2″ Frenchman that Carter hurdled, but it is still impressive. The ability to keep your attention on a ball, swat it away, while hurdling over a player and not kneeing him in the process? Damn.
