Richie Incognito, Dolphins agree to postpone grievance hearing

The Miami Dolphins and Richie Incognito with input from NFL investigator Todd Wells, have agreed to postpone the the expedited grievance hearing until after the suspension.  Not only would both sides like to make this go away for a little while, Incognito is more concerned with getting paid than he is getting back on the field, so cooperating may ultimately help in that goal.

Miami Dolphins statement:

“The Miami Dolphins and Richie Incognito have agreed to postpone his grievance hearing during his ongoing suspension. Richie is cooperating fully with the NFL investigation and will meet with Ted Wells.”

Richie Incognito’s statement:

“I have agreed to postpone my expedited arbitration hearing until after the investigation by Ted Wells is complete. I will cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation with a goal of resuming my career with the Miami Dolphins at the conclusion of this investigation. I love my teammates and hope we can put this distraction behind us soon.”

At this point, it appears that Wells needs to complete his investigation before any of this goes any further and no deadline has been set at this point for Wells’ stay in Miami.  The only thing that seems to be certain is he is being extremely thorough in going through everything.
