Saturday night brings us a big showdown for supremacy in the Pac-12 South as the surging Arizona State Sun Devils are paying a visit to the Rose Bowl to take on the UCLA Bruins. For weeks, both have been recognized by some as the best in the division, and tonight, we get to find out who the best really is.
Things are getting off to a pretty quick start out in Los Angeles , as both teams came right out of the gate scoring. Arizona State QB Taylor Kelly scored on a rushing touchdown for the Sun Devils to give them the early 7-0 lead.
However, Brett Hundley and the Bruins fired right back.
After getting the ball on the ensuing possession, Hundley hooked up with wide receiver Devin Lucien on the very first play from scrimmage on this 42-yard touchdown play:
That’s the Brett Hundley that a lot of Heisman voters were gushing over a few weeks ago. Good presence in the pocket, and delivers an absolute strike to the end zone.
At the moment, the teams are still all knotted up at 7.
