The Big 12 battle between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Baylor Bears has gotten underway in Stillwater, and so far, it hasn’t really been what a lot expected.
With these two teams, many expected a barrage of scoring early and often, but that really hasn’t been the case.
The closest either team came was Baylor in the first quarter when they were able to drive the ball all the way down inside the Oklahoma State five-yard line.
But, they just really couldn’t make anything happen from that, thanks to a bit of a bad move by running back Shock Linwood and a heads up play by an Oklahoma State defensive lineman.
After a big Bryce Petty run got them within the five-yard line, he handed the ball off to Linwood who was tackled almost immediately. He tried to reach the ball across the goal line, while he wasn’t down unfortunately. So, a lingering Okie State defender just figured he’d slap the ball away:
Have to admire the heads-up play there by the big man.
