On Friday night at RFA 11, Chinzo Machida made his promotional debut with a statement performance. Machida, the older brother of former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, had previously said he would like to join his brother in the UFC, and while he still has some work to do, he certainly got on the radar.

Machida scored a vicious flying knee knockout over Brian Wood in the very first round.

The knee was perfectly timed as Wood shot in for the takedown and it left no doubt that the featherweight has a dynamic arsenal of attacks much like his brother.

Here are the highlights:

It will be interesting to see if Machida is able to work his way in to the UFC by stringing together some wins, but he is certainly on his way if he can continue delivering performances like that.
