With all of the controversy surrounding their star, redshirt freshman QB, you would have to imagine that the entire Florida State Seminoles football team would have a lot of aggression to take out.
They did just that to the visiting Idaho Vandals on Saturday, as the ‘Noles demolished their opponent, 80-14.
In limited play once again, Jameis Winston was spectacular–even with the black cloud over his head–as he torched the Vandals for 225 yards through the air on 19-of-25 passing and four touchdowns.
Florida State had two running backs that surpassed the century mark in this one. Devonta Freeman went for 129 yards on 11 carries with one score, while converted-safety Karlos Williams added 114 on 10 carries with two touchdowns.
If anything, you have to give credit to Idaho for scoring 14 points on the FSU defense, which matched what the Clemson Tigers did in their loss to Florida State.
Now, Florida State moves to 11-0 on the year and one step closer to an appearance in Pasadena to compete for the national championship. They’ll play the rival Florida Gators next Saturday in their annual end-of-season match up before they head off to the ACC Title Game to see if they can complete that journey to California.
