Kyle Korver re-signed with the Hawks on a 4 year deal worth 24 million dollars this off-season, and many questioned the move. I think it was a smart move, as they needed a guy who could stretch the floor, and could fit in Mike Budenholzer’s offense. Well, he has had a good year so far, averaging 12 points and 4 rebounds a game, and shooting nearly 53% from beyond the arc.
Coming into this season, Korver had a chance to go for the all-time record for consecutive games with a 3 pointer made. Dana Barros holds the record with 89 games, and Korver is approaching fast. He came into Saturday night’s game with 86 in a row, and he hit one against the Celtics in Atlanta, and he is now just 2 games behind with 87.
Korver will have the chance to tie Barros on Wednesday against the Rockets, and with the way he’s been playing, I have no doubt that he will reach that mark.
I cover the Hawks for SoaringDownSouth.com, and Korver is one of the nicest players I have interacted with. Also on Saturday, Korver made his mark on another list:
After that early three-pointer, Kyle Korver is tied with Dan Majerle for 26th on the NBA's all-time three-point list with 1360.

The Hawks are a good team in a bad Eastern Conference, and fans should keep an eye on this team.
