Paul Millsap has been really good for Atlanta this season. He’s averaging 16 points and 7 rebounds per game for his new team. He is also allowing Al Horford to operate on the elbow, and they have complemented each other nicely.
Millsap is replacing Josh Smith, and he has shown versatility that is similar to what Smith has, but he makes better decisions on the floor. Millsap showed both his versatility and his decision making abilities on a play against Boston on Saturday night:
Poor Jared Sullinger. Millsap went up and put it down all over the second year player. The Hawks are currently 8-5 on the season, and are in the driver’s seat to beat the Celtics, and move to 9-5. They are one of the best teams that no one is talking about, and behind Jeff Teague, Al Horford, and Paul Millsap, they could surprise a lot of people.
Once a dunk hits the internet, it’s only a matter of time until it is edited for fun. One of the more popular edits has already been applied:
Millsap makes the play on this one, and this is an early candidate for our Dunk of the Week.
