Death Valley, home of the LSU Tigers, is one of the toughest–if not the toughest–places to play in all of college football. So far, the Tigers are giving the Texas A&M Aggies a glimpse of truth into that as they’re holding a 14-3 lead as the first half winds down.
The LSU offense has done all they can in this one, exploiting the Texas A&M defense. Now, one of the weaknesses of that Aggie defense that we know about is the secondary.
Early in the second quarter, QB Zach Mettenberger and WR Jarvis Landry took advantage.
Mettenberger found Landry for a 10-yard scoring strike with just under 14 minutes to go in the second period. Afterwards, though, Landry gave us all a pretty sweet air guitar celebration, completing with smashing the fake instrument, Megadeth style:
While some frown upon post-touchdown celebrations, this one was actually pretty fun. Landry didn’t really harm anyone or rub it in A&M’s face, he was just displaying his rock star talents.
If this whole football thing doesn’t work out, then he can easily put together a successful group.
