To say Saturday’s game between the North Carolina Tar Heels and Old Dominion Monarchs was lopsided would be an understatement. The Tar Heels put up a whopping 80 points through the first three quarters of play, which would be a pretty impressive number for the UNC basketball team. The Tar Heels did it on the football field, though, and the game was shortened by five minutes as an act of mercy.
The numbers for the Tar Heels were eye-popping. Even with the fourth quarter being shortened, UNC managed to accumulate 721 yards of offense. Quarterback Maquise Williams had a huge day, throwing for 409 yards and five touchdowns. He also completed a ridiculous 20 passes in 27 attempts.
Running back T.J. Logan was the other star performer for the Tar Heels. Logan finished the game with 137 yards on only 14 carries, scoring three rushing touchdowns in the process. He was also a big factor in the return game, running a third-quarter kickoff back 99 yards for a touchdown.
