The Denver Broncos were hoping to get some good news on Sunday as they lead up to their big match up against the New England Patriots in prime time, but it isn’t looking good for starting tight end Julius Thomas.

Thomas is dealing with a knee injury that he suffered last week against the Kansas City Chiefs and he was listed as questionable leading up to the game.

Now, on the NFL pre-game show on FOX, Jay Glazer said that it would take a “miracle” in order for Thomas to suit up.

Thomas has become one of the favorite targets for Peyton Manning, so not having him on the field would be a huge loss. The good news for Denver is that the Patriots defense has been hit hard with injuries, so they should be able to find some success running the ball.

Denver and New England will kick off on Sunday night in Foxboro.
