Monday afternoon, the Associated Press released the Week 4 rankings for the 2013-2014 college basketball season and, obviously, there was no change at the top as the Michigan State Spartans are still the top team in the land after going 2-0 last week.

The biggest change came from the Louisville Cardinals who dropped down to number nine after they were upset by the North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday when they were ranked third. After the win, North Carolina vaulted all the way up to number 16 from the 23 spot where they were sitting.

As for newcomers, we can all welcome in UMass and Iowa. This is Iowa’s first time in the AP in eight seasons, while UMass is appearing for the first time this century.
