Nobody wants to see any athlete go through what Derrick Rose has went through the past few years. The Chicago Bulls point guard appears snake-bitten, but, the devastating injuries sting just a little bit more considering Rose’s personality.

Is he at times a bit too confident? No doubt. But Rose is one of the most kind players in the NBA. Ask any beat reporter, any media members – they’ll all tell you how personable and great Rose is to deal with. And if you had an All-First team personality, the former Memphis Tiger would be the reigning MVP year in, year out.

Case in point? Rose, who underwent surgery Monday morning to repair his torn medial meniscus was kind enough to take a photo with a nurse who allegedly treated the former MVP.

Of course, I’m sure the hospital won’t be overly thrilled with the picture leaking to the media, but still pretty amazing of Rose to take a picture with a fan given what he was going through.

Our best wishes on a speedy recovery.
