With an incredible week 12 of the 2013 NFL season almost in the books, it’s time to take a quick look back a the best and worst of the week along with some sleepers you need to know going forward.
Studs: Even with a quiet second half, Jimmy Graham (5 catches, 100 yards, TD) and Drew Brees (278 yards, 2 TDs) finished with solid enough games to make their owners satisfied. For Atlanta, Hugh Douglas finished with nine catches for 79 yards and Steven Jackson made an appearance running for 63 yards and finding the end zone for the first time this season.
Duds: The owners who started the week in a hole got disappointing nights from Darren Sproles who was inactive, Marques Colston who had just 40 yards on four catches, or Roddy White who continued to struggle with just two catches for 24 yards.
Sleepers: Both Saints D/ST and the Falcons D/ST had solid performances. The Saints dropped Matt Ryan five times and forced a turnover to help New Orleans get the win. The biggest surprise on offense was Falcons WR Darius Johnson who had six catches for 67 yards on eight targets and has become an interesting part of the Falcons passing game.
