John Wall with nasty block on Iman Shumpert (Video)

There’s not much worse in basketball than beating your man, only to get your shot rejected by a player who was hiding in the shadows.

For that quick moment, you get the glory of knowing it’s just you and the basket. All you need to do is convert and the basket is yours. But then like some mythic monster rising out of the sea, some arm comes waiving by you and sends the rock about seven rows deep into the crowd.

That’s likely how New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert is feeling this morning after Washington Wizards guard John Wall took his candy on Sunday afternoon.

With the Knicks down a handful of points in the fourth, Shumpert went in for what he thought would be an uncontested lay-in. Wall, laying in the grass though, decided to throw some shade, appearing out of nowhere, rejecting Shumpert’s shot with an emphatic block.

Pretty sure, at least for a moment, that block made Shumpert forget about the ongoing trade rumors.
