LSU TIgers running back Alfred Blue is likely playing his final couple of games in college. Blue currently plans to leave LSU for the 2014 NFL Draft following the season, despite the fact that he has one year of eligibility left. Blue was rewarded an extra year of eligibility due to injuries, but he could be just one of many LSU running backs going pro.
It is likely that Blue, Jeremy Hill and Kenny Hilliard will all bolt for the NFL.
LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said Blue expects to be one of 15 seniors participating in Senior Day, which will take place on Friday before the team’s meeting against Arkansas.
Blue will still have time to finalize his decision, which he plans to do after discussing the situation with his parents after the team’s season finale this weekend.
Last season, LSU watched more than ten underclassmen leave the program to go pros and this year they could see many of the same results.
During his 2013 campaign, Blue has rushed for 300 yards and one touchdown.
