Next season, Amar’e Stoudemire will be the second highest player in the NBA at nearly $23 and a half million dollars.

He might be lucky to average 20 minutes a game.

The former All-Star big man has dealt with on again, off again injuries for multiple years and despite his determination to get back on the court and be a productive member of the New York Knicks rotation, that looks to be somewhat of a long shot.

I mean, the Knicks are promoting Stoudemire’s 12-point game against the Washington Wizards on Saturday, a season-high for the former high school product. And by the looks of the comments on the Facebook page, fans weren’t exactly thrilled with it:

20 million dollars for a “season high” 12 points.

Nothing against the Knicks’ promotional team as they’re just following orders, but this comes across more as a mocking meme type photo. You know – twelve points? Grahahaha.

Can’t fault Amar’e for continuing to work hard and attempt to get himself back in the Knicks rotation (and in fairness, he is on a minutes restriction), but, the celebrations might want to scale back a bit.
