Is Texas A&M going to wear Zubaz themed zebra-print jerseys?

Last week the Texas A&M Aggies football team unveiled new “Dark Onyx” uniforms against LSU. Now the Aggies are hinting at a new uniform on social media accounts by tweeting out an image with a hypnotizing zebra like print.

The Aggies are playing Missouri this weekend. The image could be an attempt at a play on the words because they’re playing at Faurot Field, also known as “The Zou,” as Sean Lester of the Dallas Morning News suggests.

I disagree with that idea because it is a stretch. More importantly, don’t forget that Adidas is Texas A&M’s uniform sponsor, and they’re the company responsible for those Zubaz themed basketball uniforms last season.

I didn’t think the basketball uniforms and their neon colors worked well. I don’t know how it would work on football uniforms and I can’t quite wrap my head around it. All I know is Rob Gronkowski is probably wishing he could go back to college and play for the Aggies if they roll out these uniforms.

It would make more sense for the Missouri Tigers, given that their mascot has stripes. Fortunately for them they’re sponsored by Nike and not Adidas.

Of course, we don’t know exactly what this image that the equipment department is tweeting out means. We just have to wait and see.
