The UFC has a very busy schedule planned for 2014. One of the first cards of the year is UFC Fight Night 35 in Duluth, Georgia and it is quickly stacking up. After announcing Brad Tavares vs Lorenz Larkin earlier this week, the UFC has subsequently announced three more exciting matchups.

UFC News broke the fights on twitter:

Jason High (18-4, 2-2 UFC)  is coming off a decision victory over Anthony Lapsley at UFC 167 in which he displayed his grappling dominance. He mentioned that he would like to move down to Lightweight for his next fight, but it looks like the quick turnaround means he will be staying at 170 for the time being. High will take on the surging Adlan Amagov (13-2-1, 2-0 UFC). Amagov has looked like a beast in the UFC thus far, and is a rising prospect in the 170 lb. division. In his last fight, Amagov had a violent KO victory over TJ Waldburger. This fight should be electric.

Brian Houston (4-1, 0-1 UFC) will be fighting Trevor Smith (10-4, 0-1 UFC) in a Middleweight battle that is sure to bring fireworks. Houston was a decent prospect at 185 when he came into the UFC at 4-0. After a quick submission loss to Derek Brunson back at UFC Fight for the Troops 3, he will look to get back to his winning ways. Smith is coming off an incredible fight with Ed Herman that earned fight of the night honors. He has lost two straight, dating back to StrikeForce, so he desperately needs a win here.

Both Ramsey Nijem (7-4, 3-3 UFC) and Justin Edwards (8-3, 2-2 UFC) need wins badly coming into this fight. The TUF alums are both coming off bad losses. Nijem has lost his last two; a KO loss to Myles Jury and a quick submission loss to James Vick. Edwards was easily dispatched of by Brandon Thatch back in August, losing by TKO in round 1. Both men may be fighting for their jobs come January.
