The Detroit Lions are trying to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a short week. The Lions host the Green Bay Packers in the Vikings annual Thanksgiving Day game. That could be an issue for Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson who has been dealing with sore ness in his knees.

Johnson missed one game earlier in the season when the knee issues were too much to play through. Johnson didn’t practice on Tuesday though, the only true workout of the week.

“Nah, I’ll be all right,” Johnson said, via Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com. “I’ll be all right.”

Head coach Jim Schwartz seemed to play it down.

“It will change his regimen but that’s no different for Calvin than it is for about a half a dozen other guys that we’ve had that have been going through the same kind of things,” Schwartz said.

“It’s just, every team in the NFL now plays a Thursday game. It’s just part of this business now is making that turnaround.”
