The Colorado Rockies haven’t lacked effort this offseason in regards to trade of delving into free agency.

The team has continually put forth their money in attempts to improve the lineup, but so far have little to show for it. They’re hoping that will change before the free agent pool thins out too much and they’ve taken to the trade market in hopes of avoiding a third straight season in the National League West cellar, including inquiring about Mark Trumbo of the Anaheim Angels:

They have talked with the Angels about slugger Mark Trumbo, who will be hard to pry away.

Unfortunitly for Colorado, as mentioned above, Trumbo might not be the most realistic target considering the Angels are looking for MLB ready pitching, something the Rockies aren’t exactly stocked with.

There’s no doubt Trumbo’s power in the thin air of Colorado would be a perfect pairing, but it would likely take a third team for Colorado to swing a deal for Trumbo.
