Over the weekend, the Orlando Magic got a key player back
In a 101-99 loss to the Miami Heat Saturday, veteran big man Glen “Big Baby” Davis returned to the court for the Magic. He scored 20 points on seven-of-13 shooting, grabbed five rebounds, had two steals and dished out one assist in 26 minutes. In a 104-96 loss to the Phoenix Suns Sunday, Davis had six points on three-of-seven shooting, grabbed four rebounds, dished out four assists, recorded two steals and blocked a shot.
All in all, it was pretty good weekend for Davis, who hadn’t played in a game since January 30.
According to John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com, Davis will be back in the starting lineup when the Magic take on the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night.
The move sends veteran power forward Jason Maxiell to the bench. The Magic will also start center Nikola Vucevic, small forward Maurice Harkless, shooting guard Arron Afflalo and point guard Jameer Nelsson.
The Magic and Hawks will tip-off at 7:30 pm EST.
