I’m going to imagine today is not a good day to be MarShon Brooks at Boston Celtics practice.
What lead up to this, I have no idea, but during a recent workout, Brooks and teammate Rajon Rondo decided they’d have a race from one end of the court to the other. That normally wouldn’t make headlines of course, but Rondo has been out nearly a year after tearing his ACL in January and has still yet to return.
However, by the looks of the race below, that might be coming soon.
Rondo’s a fast guy, ‘injured’ or not, but Brooks is certainly going to catch grief for getting dusted by a guy who is recovering from ACL surgery. And it wasn’t even close. Maybe that’s why Brooks isn’t averaging more than 8.5 minutes a game this year.
On the flip side, pretty nice to see Rondo moving as fluid as he is. There’s still no timetable for his return and the tanking Celtics aren’t going to rush him back, but he looks like he could take the court tomorrow judging by the video.
